Announcement by the chairperson whether a quorum is present, and that the meeting has been duly called, and that notice of the meeting has been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.

EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Board may recess the Open Meeting and reconvene in a Closed Meeting pursuant to the following sections of the Texas Government Code and as authorized by Sections 551.071-551.076 and 551.082-551.084 thereof:

Section 551.071 – To seek the advice of the Board’s attorney about pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offer, or matter under investigation.
Private consultation with the Board’s attorney regarding (i) privileged matters authorized by law to be discussed in closed session under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct and the Texas Open Meetings Act and (ii) contemplated litigation regarding Texas Attorney General Open Records Letter Ruling No. OR-12447
